All legislative instruments that are registered must be presented for scrutiny in each House of the Parliament and, unless an exemption applies, they may be disallowed by either House. When documents are presented to the Australian Parliament for scrutiny, they are said to have been tabled.
This Marine Order was originally made under subsection 425(1AA) of the Navigation Act 1912 and has effect, for the purposes of the Navigation Act 2012, with such modifications as are specified in Marine Order 4 (Transitional modifications) 2013 (see section 343 of the Navigation Act 2012 and Schedule 35 of Marine Order 4 (Transitional modifications) 2013).
