This Marine Order was originally made under subsection 425(1AA) of the Navigation Act 1912 and subsection 34(1) of the Protection of the Sea (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act 1983. To the extent that this Order was made under the Navigation Act 1912 it has effect, for the purposes of the Navigation Act 2012, with such modifications as are specified in Marine Order 4 (Transitional modifications) 2013 (see section 343 of the Navigation Act 2012 and Schedule 39 of Marine Order 4 (Transitional modifications) 2013).
