These Regulations were originally made under the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967 and are continued in force under section 781 of the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 (previously cited as the Offshore Petroleum Act 2006). (See clause 4 of schedule 6 to the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 for transitional provisions.)
