These Regulations amend the Freedom of Information (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1982 to prescribe, for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, (a) the CEO of the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia (FMC) as the 'principal officer', and (b) the Attorney-General as the 'responsible Minister' in respect of the FMC.

1              Name of Regulations

                These Regulations are the Freedom of Information (Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Regulations 2007 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3              Amendment of Freedom of Information (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1982

                Schedule 1 amends the Freedom of Information (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1982.
