AD/B767/4 Amdt 1

Horizontal Stabiliser Pivot Fitting - Outer Pivot Pin Inspection and Inner Pin Replacement

Applicable to all aircraft listed by customer code and variable number in the requirement document.

Boeing S.B. No. 767-55-0005 Rev 01 or latter FAA approved revision.

Note:  FAA AD 85-09-02, Amdt 39-5057 refers.

As detailed in the requirement document.

The failure of a pivot fitting pin on the B767 major fatigue test article was attributed to improper manufacture.  This directive is prompted by the discovery that a number of these parts were improperly manufactured.

This amendment is issued to update the requirement document revision status.

The original issue of this AD became effective on 31 July 1985.
