  This instrument is the Airports (Protection of Airspace) Legislation (Repeal and Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2026.

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under the following:

 (a) the Airports Act 1996;

 (b) the Civil Aviation Act 1988.

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

1  Paragraph 15(1)(a)

Omit “OLS or PANSOPS surfaces”, substitute “OLS or TIFPOP surfaces”.

2  Subsection 15(3)

Repeal the subsection, substitute:

 (3) In this section:

OLS has the same meaning as in the Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 2026.

TIFPOP surface has the same meaning as in the Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 2026.

3  In the appropriate position in Part 8

Insert:

The amendments of section 15 of this instrument made by the Airports (Protection of Airspace) Legislation (Repeal and Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2026 apply in relation to:

 (a) a draft master plan for an airport given to the Minister under section 81 or 81A of the Act on or after the commencement of this item; and

 (b) a final master plan that comes into force under section 83 of the Act on or after the commencement of this item, where the draft master plan was given to the Minister on or after that commencement.

4  Paragraph 139.015(b)

Omit “Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 1996”, substitute “Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 2026”.

5  Regulation 139.185 (paragraph (c) of the note)

Omit “Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 1996”, substitute “Airports (Protection of Airspace) Regulations 2026”.

6  Paragraph 22(b)

Omit “the airportlessee company for the airport, or the Secretary,”, substitute “the Secretary”.
