Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997

 

  This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Home Affairs Measures No. 3) Regulations 2026.

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Grant to the Executive Council of Australian Jewry

To provide funding to the Executive Council of Australian Jewry to protect Australia’s Jewish community, including by supporting the following:

(a) engaging security guards at places or events identified or associated with that community;

(b) providing security training, and installing security equipment and infrastructure, to identify and address security or safety risks to that community;

(c) activities to identify, assess and respond to security or safety risks to that community;

(d) offsetting the operational costs of state-based Community Security Groups;

as a measure to give effect to Australia’s obligations under either or both of the following:

(e) the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, particularly Articles 2 and 5;

(f) the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, particularly Articles 2, 18 and 27.
