  This is the Primary Industries Levies and Charges Disbursement (Average Fishing Industry GVP Amounts) Determination 2025.

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under subsections 29(2), 30(2), 31(2) and 32(2) of the Primary Industries Levies and Charges Disbursement Act 2024.

Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in subsection 4(1) of the Act, including the following:

  1.      average Commonwealth main fishing industry GVP amount;
  2.      average declared fishery GVP amount;
  3.      average State/Territory main fishing industry GVP amount;
  4.      average total main fishing industry GVP amount;
  5.      Commonwealth main fishing industry GVP amount;
  6.       declared fishery GVP amount;
  7.      State/Territory main fishing industry GVP amount;
  8.      total main fishing industry GVP amount.

  In this instrument:

Act means the Primary Industries Levies and Charges Disbursement Act 2024.

 (1) For the purposes of subsection 29(2) of the Act, the average total main fishing industry GVP amount for the financial year starting on 1 July 2025 is determined to be $3,575,675,333.33.

 (2) For the purposes of subsections 29(2) and 29(4) of the Act, the following total main fishing industry GVP amounts were used to determine the average total main fishing industry GVP amount in subsection (1):

 (a) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2022—$3,608,662,000.00;

 (b) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2023—$3,572,924,000.00;

 (c) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2024—$3,545,440,000.00.

 (1) For the purposes of subsection 30(2) of the Act, the average Commonwealth main fishing industry GVP amount for the financial year starting on 1 July 2025 is determined to be $396,481,000.00.

 (2) For the purposes of subsections 30(2) and 30(4) of the Act, the following Commonwealth main fishing industry GVP amounts were used to determine the average Commonwealth main fishing industry GVP amount in subsection (1):

 (a) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2022—$411,782,000.00;

 (b) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2023—$402,793,000.00;

 (c) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2024—$374,868,000.00.

 For the purposes of subsections 31(2) and (4) of the Act:

 (a) the amount specified in column 5 of an item in the table is determined to be the average State/Territory main fishing industry GVP amount for the financial year starting on 1 July 2025 for the State or Territory specified in column 1 of that item; and

 (b) the amounts specified in columns 2, 3 and 4 of an item in the table are the State/Territory main fishing industry GVP amounts for the financial years starting on 1 July 2022, 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024 respectively, for the State or Territory specified in column 1 of that item, used to determine the average State/Territory main fishing industry GVP amount specified in column 5 of that item.

 (1) For the purposes of subsection 32(2) of the Act, the average declared fishery GVP amount for the declared fishery, the farmed prawn industry, for the financial year starting on 1 July 2025 is determined to be $212,914,000.00.

 (2) The following declared fishery GVP amounts for the farmed prawn industry were used to determine the average declared fishery GVP amount in subsection (1):

 (a) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2022—$217,499,000.00;

 (b) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2023—$211,661,000.00;

 (c) for the financial year starting on 1 July 2024—$209,582,000.00.
