Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997
This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Foreign Affairs and Trade Measures No. 4) Regulations 2025.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

106 | Grants to the International Atomic Energy Agency | To contribute to the funding of the International Atomic Energy Agency, including to support the Agency to: (a) undertake the following kinds of activities: (i) activities that support the peaceful application of nuclear science and nuclear technology, including research and development in relation to the application of nuclear science and nuclear technology; (ii) activities that build capacity in relation to the peaceful application of nuclear science and nuclear technology; (iii) activities that support international compliance, and the assessment of international compliance, with nuclear safeguards, including by providing training; (iv) activities that support the development of Australian expertise and capability in relation to nuclear safeguards; and (b) establish, administer and apply nuclear safeguards; and (c) review and, if necessary, modify nuclear safeguards in response to technological change; and (d) carry out research and development in relation to: (i) nuclear safeguards technology; and (ii) nuclear safeguards approaches and methodologies; and (e) implement new and existing techniques and technologies in relation to nuclear safeguards; and (f) provide technical services in relation to nuclear safeguards.
