Schedule 1—Exemption 2

1 Name

This instrument is the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Exemption) Instrument (No. 5) 2025.

2 Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under subsection 37(1) of the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Act 2012.

4 Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards Act 2012.

Determination means the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Incandescent Lamps for General Lighting Services) Determination 2024.

exempt models: see section 5.

5 Exemption

The models specified in clause 1 of Schedule 1 (the exempt models) are exempt from the requirements of the Determination as described at clause 2 of Schedule 1 with respect to the supplies of the exempt models specified at clause 3 of Schedule 1.

6 Conditions of exemption

The conditions at clause 4 of the Schedule are specified for the purposes of subsection 37(2) of the Act.

7 Repeal

This instrument is repealed on 31 December 2026.

2 Requirements from which models are exempt

The requirements of the Determination are described in column 2 in the table below and are located in the part of the Determination specified in column 3 for that item.

3 Supplies to which the exemption applies

This exemption applies in relation to any supplies of the exempt models.

4 Specification of conditions of exemption

This exemption is subject to the following conditions:

Products of exempt models that are offered for sale or sold must clearly and conspicuously display on the exterior of the packaging of those products that the product is for use in sewing machines;

Where products of exempt models are offered for sale or sold online, the web page where the product(s) is offered for sale or sold must clearly and conspicuously display that the product(s) is for use in sewing machines.
