Veterans’ Entitlements (Income Exempt Lump Sums) Determination 2025 2
This instrument is the Veterans’ Entitlements (Income Exempt Lump Sums) Amendment (Special Assistance) Determination 2025.
(1) Each provision of this determination specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Note 1: This table relates only to the provisions of this instrument as originally made. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this instrument.
Note 2: The commencement of items 2 and 3 of the table is retrospective. It is intended to have the effect of validating any payments made under the two instruments to which the amendments in Schedule 1 relate and which were treated as exempt lump sums under the Veterans’ Entitlements (Income Exempt Lump Sums) Determination 2025 prior to the registration of this instrument. Those two instruments commenced on 21 February 2025.
(2) Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this determination. Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it may be edited, in any published version of this instrument.
This instrument is made under paragraph 5H(12)(c) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
