Schedule 1—Amendments
This instrument is the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Amendment (Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water Measures No. 3) Regulations 2025.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Act 1997.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

737 | Local Environmental Projects Program | To support measures intended to benefit, protect or ensure the sustainability of ecosystems, natural habitats or biological resources, and measures intended to benefit or protect National Heritage places (within the meaning of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999), Commonwealth Heritage places (within the meaning of that Act) or Australian properties on the World Heritage List kept under Article 11 of the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, including measures relating to the following: (a) the restoration of biodiversity; (b) habitat remediation; (c) weed management; (d) the conservation, protection and presentation of those places or properties, including to ensure they are preserved for the benefit of future generations; (e) revegetation; (f) the removal of debris from riverbanks and creeks; (g) wildlife care facilities. This objective has the effect it would have if it were limited to measures to give effect to Australia’s obligations under either or both of the following: (a) the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, particularly Articles 4, 5 and 6; (b) the Convention on Biological Diversity, particularly Articles 6, 8 and 9. |
