This instrument is made under section 132 of the Act.
The Radiocommunications (Radionavigation-Satellite Service) Class Licence 2015 [F2015L01510] is repealed.
In this instrument, unless the contrary intention appears, a reference to a part of the spectrum or frequency band includes all frequencies that are greater than but not including the lower frequency, up to and including the higher frequency.
Note 1: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Act, including the following:
(a) frequency band;
(b) operate;
(c) radiocommunication;
(d) radiocommunications receiver;
(e) receiver licence;
(f) space object.
Note 2: Other expressions used in this instrument may be defined in a determination made under subsection 64(1) of the Australian Communications and Media Authority Act 2005 that applies to this instrument, including:
(a) Act;
(b) radionavigation-satellite service;
(c) RNSS frequency;
(d) RNSS radiocommunication;
(e) RNSS receiver.
In this instrument, unless the contrary intention appears:
(a) a reference to any other legislative instrument is a reference to that other legislative instrument as in force from time to time; and

(a) an RNSS receiver located on a space object;
(b) an RNSS receiver, where:
(i) the operation of the receiver is authorised by a receiver licence; and
(ii) the receiver is authorised to be operated for the purpose of reception of RNSS radiocommunications.
Note: The ACMA does not generally intend to afford protection to an RNSS receiver, operated in accordance with this instrument, from interference caused by other radiocommunications devices.
A person must not operate an RNSS receiver otherwise than on a frequency in one of the following frequency bands:
(a) 1164 MHz to 1300 MHz;
(b) 1559 MHz to 1610 MHz.
