1  Name

  This is the Radiocommunications (Transmitter Licence Tax) Amendment Determination 2025 (No. 1).

2  Commencement

  The instrument commences at the start of the day after the day it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under subsection 7(1) of the Radiocommunications (Transmitter Licence Tax) Act 1983.

4  Amendments

  The instrument that is specified in the Schedule to this instrument is amended as set out in the applicable items of the Schedule, and any other item in the Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Radiocommunications (Transmitter Licence Tax) Determination 2025 (F2025L00058)

1  Subsection 5(1) (note 2)

Insert:

(aza) radiodetermination licence (RNSS repeater system);

2  Paragraph 9(1)(b) of Schedule 1

After ‘separate spectrum access’, insert ‘(the component access)’.

3  Sub-item 9(2) of Schedule 1

Repeal the sub-item, substitute:

 (2) For the purposes of this instrument, all of the component accesses are taken to be a single spectrum access (the combined access).

 (3) Subject to item 10, the annual amount for the combined access is:

 (a) the sum of the amounts worked out under item 7 or, if it applies in relation to a spectrum access, item 8 for each of the component accesses; divided by

 (b) the number of authorised transmitters.
