  This instrument is the Remuneration Tribunal Amendment Determination (No. 3) 2025.

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under subsections 7(3) and (4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

 

1  Section 7 (after paragraph (b) of the definition of employer superannuation contribution)

Insert:

 (ba) if the office holder is a member of the defined benefit division of UniSuper—the amount mentioned in paragraph 14(5A)(b); or

2  Section 7 (definition of superannuation salary)

Omit “DFRDB or MSBS”, substitute “DFRDB, MSBS or the defined benefit division of UniSuper”.

3  Section 10 (Table 2A, after table item dealing with Director, Professional Services Review)

Insert:

4  After subsection 14(5)

Insert:

UniSuper

 (5A) For an office holder who is a member of the defined benefit division of UniSuper:

 (a) the office holder’s annual rate of salary for the purposes of the defined benefit division of UniSuper is the office holder’s superannuation salary; and

 (b) for the purposes of paragraph (ba) of the definition of employer superannuation contribution in section 7, the amount is the contribution made by an employer to the defined benefit division of UniSuper in respect of the office holder.

Note 1: For the superannuation salary for an office holder who is a member of the defined benefit division of UniSuper, see section 15.

Note 2: Generally, the contribution made by an employer to the defined benefit division of UniSuper in respect of an office holder is either 14% or 17% of the office holder’s superannuation salary.

5  Section 15 (heading)

Omit “DFRDB and MSBS”, substitute “DFRDB, MSBS and UniSuper”.

6  Subsection 15(1)

Omit “DFRDB or MSBS”, substitute “DFRDB, MSBS or the defined benefit division of UniSuper”.
