This instrument is the Family Assistance (Public Interest Certificate Guidelines) (Education) Amendment (Policy Development and Related Purposes) Determination 2025.

(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under section 169 of the A New Tax System (Family Assistance) (Administration) Act 1999.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

After “16”, insert “16A,”.

2 After section 16

Insert:

16A Research, statistical analysis and policy development – matters connected to education and related purposes

Information may be disclosed for the purpose of this section if the disclosure is necessary to support:

research into (including evaluation or monitoring of, or reporting on); or
statistical analysis of; or
policy development in relation to; or
activities to facilitate the implementation of policies and programs in relation to,

any matter connected to education, early childhood development, child care, or preschool.

Omit “18, 19, 20 or 21”, substitute “27, 28, 29 or 30”.
