1  Name

  This instrument is the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Utilities and Services (Vehicle Examination Fees) Amendment (2024 Measures No. 1) Determination 2024.

2  Commencement

  This instrument commences on 1 July 2024.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under paragraph 7(2)(a) of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Utilities and Services Ordinance 2016.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Cocos (Keeling) Islands Utilities and Services (Vehicle Examination Fees) Determination 2019

1  Subsection 5(1) (table item 1)

Repeal the item, substitute:

Heavy vehicle

(a) first examination—$268.70;

(b) subsequent examination—$154.35

2  Subsection 5(2)

Omit “1 July 2023”, substitute “1 July 2024”.
