1  Name

  This instrument is the Biosecurity (Conditionally Nonprohibited Goods) Amendment (Meat and Meat Products for Personal Use) Determination 2022.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

  This instrument is made under subsection 174(1) of the Biosecurity Act 2015.

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

 

Biosecurity (Conditionally Nonprohibited Goods) Determination 2021

1  Subsection 17(2) (at the end of the cell at table item 1, column 2)

Add:

; and (d) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMDfree country

2  Subsection 17(2) (at the end of the cell at table item 3, column 2)

Add:

; (d) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—the goods:

 (i) have been commercially manufactured; and

 (ii) are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMDfree country

3  Subsection 17(2) (at the end of the cell at table item 4, column 2)

Add:

; and (c) are commercially manufactured; and

(d) are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMDfree country

4  Subsection 17(2) (table item 5, column 2, paragraph (a))

Omit “prepared”, substitute “manufactured”.

5  Subsection 17(2) (at the end of the cell at table item 5, column 2)

Add:

; and (c) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMDfree country

6  Subsection 17(2) (table item 6, column 2, paragraph (d))

Repeal the paragraph, substitute:

(d) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine or ovine animals—the goods:

(i) have been commercially manufactured; and

(ii) are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMDfree country

7  Subsection 17(2) (table item 8, column 2, subparagraph (b)(iv))

Repeal the subparagraph, substitute:

(iv) are for personal use; and

(v) if the goods were derived from bovine, caprine, ovine or porcine animals—are clearly labelled by the manufacturer as a product of an FMDfree country
