List of Specimens taken to be Suitable for Live Import Amendment

(Golden Hamster) Instrument 2021

I, Sussan Ley, Minister for the Environment, make the following amendment to Part 2 of the List of Specimens Taken to be Suitable for Live Import (29/11/2001) under the heading ‘Vertebrate Animals’, ‘Mammalia (Mammals)’, in the item titled: Taxon Mesocricetus auratus, Common Name Golden Hamster.

Pursuant to subparagraph 303EC(1)(a)(iv) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999; I vary the existing conditions for import by replacing them with the following conditions:

Research only. High security facilities only.

This instrument commences the day after registration.
