1   Name

 This instrument is the Veterans’ Entitlements (Special Disability Trust – Discretionary Spending) Determination 2021.

2   Commencement

 This instrument commences on 1 July 2021.

3 Revocation

 The Veterans’ Entitlements (Special Disability Trust – Discretionary Spending) Determination 2020 is revoked on the commencement of this Determination.

4   Authority

 This instrument is made under subsection 52ZZZWEA(3) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

5   Definitions

 In this instrument:

Act means the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986.

special disability trust has the meaning given by section 52ZZZW of the Act.

6   Trust expenditure requirements

 For subsection 52ZZZWEA(3) of the Act, the amount of $12,500 is determined to be the total value of income and assets of a special disability trust that may be applied for the 2021-2022 financial year for purposes, other than the primary purpose described in subsection 52ZZZWB(1) of the Act, that are primarily for the benefit of the principal beneficiary of the trust.
