Amendment Statement of Principles

concerning

 

MALIGNANT NEOPLASM OF THE LUNG

No. 18 of 2020

 

for the purposes of the

 

Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986

and

Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004

  1. This Instrument may be cited as Amendment Statement of Principles concerning malignant neoplasm of the lung No. 18 of 2020.
  2. The Repatriation Medical Authority amends, under subsection 196B(8) of the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986, Statement of Principles concerning malignant neoplasm of the lung Instrument No. 92 of 2014 (Federal Register of Legislation No. F2014L01382) by:

(A)        Inserting new factor "(ya)" following factor "(y)" in clause 6 as follows:

"(ya) inhaling, ingesting or having cutaneous contact with diazinon for a cumulative period of at least 1 000 hours before the clinical onset of malignant neoplasm of the lung, where the first exposure to diazinon occurred at least five years before the clinical onset of malignant neoplasm of the lung; or".

3.                       The amendment made by this instrument commences on 23 March 2020.
