1  Name

(1) This instrument is the Migration (LIN 20/001: Payment of Visa Application Charges and Fees in Foreign Currencies) Instrument 2020.

(2) This instrument may be cited as LIN 20/001.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under paragraph 5.36(1A)(a) of the Regulations.

4  Definitions

In this instrument:

fee has the meaning defined in subregulation 5.36(4) of the Regulations.

ISO means International Organization for Standardization.

Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.

VAC means Visa Application Charge.


Part 2 – Payment of VAC, and fees, in foreign currencies

6  Exchange rates for payment of VAC and fees in foreign currencies

For the purposes of paragraph 5.36(1A)(a) of the Regulations, the exchange rate for the currency specified in Column A of an item in the table in Schedule 1, in which the payment of a VAC or a fee is to be paid, is specified in Column C for that item, with the corresponding ISO code mentioned in Column B for that item.

Note: Payment of a VAC mentioned in this Part does not include a VAC mentioned in subregulation 5.36(3A) of the Regulations.
