1  Name

  This instrument is the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management (Employment Protection—Bushfires) Direction 2019.

2  Commencement

  This instrument commences the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under subsection 31(1) of the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Ordinance 2015.

4  Definitions

Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in section 4 of the Ordinance, including the following:

(a) emergency;

(b) emergency operation.

  In this instrument:

Ordinance means the Jervis Bay Territory Emergency Management Ordinance 2015.

5  Direction

  Part 4 of the Ordinance applies to all emergency operations carried out in connection with the emergency the subject of the Declaration of State of Emergency (Jervis Bay Territory) made on 19 December 2019 at 6:00pm.

Note: The declared state of emergency remains in force until the end of 26 December 2019.

6  Repeal

  This instrument is repealed at the end of 26 December 2019.
