This instrument is the Migration (LIN 19/214: Regional Certifying Bodies) Instrument 2019.
This instrument may be cited as LIN 19/214.

The whole of this instrument commences at the same time as Schedule 2 to the Migration Amendment (New Skilled Regional Visas) Regulations 2019.

This instrument is made under subregulation 2.72C(20) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations).

For the purposes of paragraph 2.72C(19)(a) of the Regulations, each body listed in a table in subsection (3) is specified as a Regional Certifying Body.
A Regional Certifying Body listed in subsection (3) has responsibility for a part of Australia that is a designated regional area listed in an instrument in writing made under the Regulations.
The bodies listed in the following tables are Regional Certifying Bodies:

This instrument applies in relation to the following:

an application for approval of a nomination for a Subclass 494 (Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional)) visa made on or after 16 November 2019; and
an application for a Subclass 494 (Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional)) visa made on or after 16 November 2019, if the related application for approval of a nomination is made on or after that date.
