I, Angus J Campbell, AO, DSC, Chief of the Defence Force, make the following Determination under subsection 93B(1) of the Defence Act 1903.

  This instrument is Defence Determination (Prohibited Substances) 2019.

  This instrument commences on the day after registration.

  This instrument is made under subsection 93B(1) of the Defence Act 1903.

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

  In this instrument:

  2019 Prohibited List means the document of that name published by the World Anti-Doping Agency, as in force under the World Anti-Doping Code on 1 January 2019.

  Act means the Defence Act 1903.

  Poisons Standard mean the Poisons Standard February 2019, as in force on
1 February 2019.
 

  World Anti-Doping Code has the same meaning as in the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Act 2006.

  The following substances are prohibited substances for the purpose of Part VIIIA of the Act:

  1.     a substance in class S0, S1, S2, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8 or S9 of the 2019 Prohibited List;
  2.     a substance listed in Schedule 4, 8 or 9 of the Poisons Standard;
  3.     Alkylamines with stimulant properties;
  4.     Allylisopropylacetylurea;
  5.     Cardarine
  6.      1,3-Dimethylamylamine (DMAA);
  7.     1,5-Dimethylhexylamine (DMHA);
  8.     Gamma Butyrolactone (GBL);
  9.      1,1,1-Trichloroethane.
