This instrument is the Biosecurity Amendment (Ballast Water and Other Measures) Regulations 2017.
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Biosecurity Act 2015.
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

1 Section 5 (definition of ballast water discharge report)
Repeal the definition.
2 Chapter 4
Repeal the Chapter.
Schedule 2—Amendment of the Biosecurity (Human Health) Regulation 2016

1 Subsection 7(1)
Omit “section 53”, substitute “section 204A”.
2 Paragraph 7(1)(a)
After “listed human disease”, insert “or any other human disease”.
