Direction — number of cabin attendants (National Jet Express)
1 Duration
This instrument:
(a) commences on the day of registration; and
(b) is repealed at the end of 31 January 2018.
2 Repeal
Instrument CASA 51/16 is repealed.
3 Application
This instrument applies to National Jet Express Pty Ltd, ARN 580965, trading as Cobham Aviation Services Australia – Regional Services (National Jet Express), if it operates an aircraft mentioned in section 4 in charter, or regular public transport, operations.
4 Aircraft
The aircraft are the following:
(a) BAe 146 series aircraft with a type certificate data sheet that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 100 passengers;
(b) ERJ 190-100 LR series aircraft with a type certificate data sheet that provides for a maximum seating capacity of 110 passengers.
5 Directions
(1)Subparagraph 6.1 (b) of Civil Aviation Order 20.16.3 does not apply to National Jet Express.
(2)National Jet Express must assign for duty at least 1 cabin attendant for every 50 passenger seats or part of that number fitted to the aircraft mentioned in section 4.
(3) These directions are subject to the condition in section 6.
6 Condition
National Jet Express must not, without the prior written approval of CASA, revise any part of its operations manual relating to emergency procedures, including exits, or the procedures relating to able-bodied passengers.
