I, ROMAN QUAEDVLIEG, ComptrollerGeneral of Customs, under section 4A of the Customs Act 1901 (the Customs Act), approve the attached “PERSONS ENGAGED TO UNLOAD CARGO statement as an approved statement for the purposes of communicating electronically to the Department, particulars of:

 

(a)   in the case of a ship  the stevedore with whom the operator has entered into a contract for the unloading of the cargo from the ship at a place in Australia; or

(b)   in the case of an aircraft  the depot operator who will first receive cargo after it has been unloaded from an aircraft at a place in Australia.

 

The communication of the electronic particulars in both of the circumstances above are in accordance with subsection 64AAC(3) of the Customs Act.

 

This Instrument commences on 1 October 2015.

Stevedore ID

If the cargo was imported by sea  the ABN or CCID assigned to the stevedore who will be unloading the goods on board the ship at the port.

Stevedore

Establishment ID

If the cargo was imported by sea  the identifier of the stevedore establishment that will be unloading the goods when the ship arrives at the port.

Discharge CTO Identifier

If the cargo was imported by air  the identifier of the cargo terminal operator (CTO) who will first receive the goods after it has been unloaded from the aircraft when it arrives at the airport.
