Part 1Preliminary

 

1  Name

  This is the Legislation (Exemptions and Other Matters) Regulation 2015.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under the Legislation Act 2003.

4  Schedules

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

5  Definitions

Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Act, including the following:

(a) amend;

(b) enabling legislation;

(c) instrument;

(d) legislative instrument;

(e) notifiable instrument;

(f) repeal.

  In this instrument:

Act means the Legislation Act 2003.

Part 2Instruments that are not legislative instruments

 

6  Classes of instruments that are not legislative instruments

 (1) For paragraph 8(6)(b) of the Act and subject to subsection (2), an instrument in a class of instruments referred to in an item of the following table is not a legislative instrument.

7  Particular instruments that are not legislative instruments

  For paragraph 8(6)(b) of the Act, each instrument referred to in an item of the following table is not a legislative instrument.

Note: The inclusion of a kind of instrument in the table does not imply that every instrument of that kind is a legislative instrument (see subsection 54(3) of the Act).
