Airports Regulations 1997

1  Name of regulation

  This regulation is the Airports Amendment (Service Monitoring) Regulation 2014.

2  Commencement

  This regulation commences on 1 July 2014.

3  Authority

  This regulation is made under the Airports Act 1996.

4  Schedule(s)

  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

 

Airports Regulations 1997

1  Subregulations 8.03(1) and (2)

Omit “one month”, substitute “90 days”.

2  Part 2 of Schedule 2 (before table item 1)

Insert:

 

1A

Airport access facilities (taxi facilities, kerbside space for pickup and dropoff)

1A.1 Total area (international and domestic) at terminal kerbside for passenger pickup and dropoff to landside operators such as taxis, and providers of other offairport parking services, measured in terms of the number of standard car park spaces

1A.2 Total area (international and domestic) at terminal kerbside and at designated waiting areas for passenger pickup and dropoff provided to the public at no charge measured in terms of the number of standard car park spaces

3  Part 2 of Schedule 2 (cell at table item 3, column headed Matters about which airportoperator companies must keep records)

Repeal the cell, substitute:

 

3.1 Number of checkin desks on 30 June in the financial year

3.2 Number of bagdrop facilities on 30 June in the financial year

3.3 Number of spaces provided for checkin kiosk facilities on 30 June in the financial year

4  Part 2 of Schedule 2 (cell at table item 6, column headed Aspects of airport services and facilities to which records are relevant)

Repeal the cell, substitute:

 

Baggage makeup, handling and reclaiming services and facilities

5  Part 2 of Schedule 2 (after table item 8)

Insert:

Public areas in terminals and public amenities (washrooms and garbage bins), lifts, escalators and moving walkways
