   1.                                  The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 31/01 – Brake Systems for Passenger Cars) 2005.

Schedule 1

[1]               Clause 2 amend  “...IMPLIMENTATION” to “...IMPLEMENTATION”.

[2]               Clause 2.5 renumber as 2.6.

[3]               Insert a new clause 2.5 to read

“Vehicles certified to ADR 31/02 or a later version need not comply with this rule.”

[4]               Clause 6.1 amend “....Approval of Passenger Cars with Regard Braking...” to “....Approval of Passenger Cars with Regard to Braking...”

[5]               Insert a new clause 6.1.1 to read “In respect of Annex 8 of any of  the editions, vehicles will be deemed to meet the requirements of this annex if compliance can be demonstrated during a Conformity of Production assessment.”

[6]               Clause 6.2 amend “...Approval of Vehicles of Categories M, N and O with Regard Braking, incorporating the 09 series of Amendments...” to “...Approval of Vehicles of Categories M, N and O with Regard to Braking, incorporating the 09 to the 10 series of Amendments...”
