I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Citizenship Act 2007.

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Australian Citizenship Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 21 September 2009.
3 Amendment of Australian Citizenship Regulations 2007
(1) Schedule 1 amends the Australian Citizenship Regulations 2007.
(2) The amendments made by Schedule 1 apply in relation to an application made under the Australian Citizenship Act 2007 on or after the day on which these Regulations commence.
