AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/DO 228/1.

This AD is cancelled on 18 December 2008.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1989, requiring the approved system of maintenance of all DO-228 aeroplanes to include all relevant inspections and life limitations contained in the Airworthiness Limitations, Chapter 05 of the Dornier 228 Maintenance Manual.  The reason for this requirement was to formally promulgate the Airworthiness Limitations inspections and life limitations.

Compliance was required forthwith.

As it is a requirement of CAO 100.5 and the Type Certificate Data Sheet for the aircraft to comply with the Airworthiness Limitations/Life Limitations section of the maintenance manual, this AD is no longer required.
