I, LINDSAY TANNER, Minister for Finance and Deregulation, make this Determination under paragraph 15 (1)(b) of the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 20082009.

1 Name of Determination

This Determination is the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 20082009 –

Section 15 Determination 2008/02 – Flexible Funding Pool Receipts 20082009.

 

Note 1: The Northern Territory Flexible Funding Pool (NTFFP) Special Account is administered by the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), and was established by Financial Management and Accountability Determination 2007/21 – Northern Territory Flexible Funding Pool Special Account Establishment 2007. The primary purpose of the appropriation is to develop, promote, assist or implement employment creation initiatives in relation to the Northern Territory Emergency Response.

Amounts debited from the NTFFP Special Account may be paid to agencies under Appropriation Act (No. 1) 20082009 in order to meet agreed outcomes in relation to the purposes of the NTFFP Special Account. This determination gives effect to Section 15 of the Appropriation Act (No. 1) 20082009 to allow agencies to increase their existing administered items with amounts debited from the NTFFP Special Account.

This Determination commences on the day on which Appropriation Act (No.1) 20082009 commences.

4 Conditions

All amounts received by an agency that increase the relevant administered item of that agency must be applied in a manner that is consistent with the NTFFP Special Account purposes as specified in the Financial Management and Accountability Determination 2007/21 – Northern Territory Flexible Funding Pool Special Account Establishment 2007.

 

Note 2: This Determination is given effect by specific provisions within the annual Appropriation Acts. This Determination continues until revoked or replaced with a new Determination.
