I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Public Order (Protection of Persons and Property) Act 1971.

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Public Order (Protection of Persons and Property) Amendment Regulations 2008 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.
3 Amendment of Public Order (Protection of Persons and Property) Regulations 1999
Schedule 1 amends the Public Order (Protection of Persons and Property) Regulations 1999.
Schedule 1 Amendments
(regulation 3)
[1] Subregulation 3 (1), after definition of Act
insert
Integrity Commissioner has the same meaning as in the Law Enforcement Integrity Commissioner Act 2006.
[2] Paragraph 4 (e)
substitute
(e) the High Court of Australia;
(f) the Integrity Commissioner.
[3] After subregulation 8 (5A)
insert
(5B) An authorised officer in relation to the Integrity Commissioner may also disclose the information to the Integrity Commissioner.

Note For the application of the Privacy Act 1988 to an act or practice of the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Family Court of Australia, the Federal Magistrates Court, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Australian Crime Commission or the Integrity Commissioner, see paragraphs 7 (1) (a) and (b) of that Act.
