Determination 2008/03:

Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office

 

(i) Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.

 

(ii) This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.

 

PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES

 

1.1 In this part, Determination Number 10 of 2007 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

 

1.2 Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting “A41” in Column 4 of the entry for the “Gene Technology Technical Advisory Committee”.

 

1.3 Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entries for the “Gene Technology Community Consultative Committee” and the “Gene Technology Ethics Committee” and replacing them with the following entry:

1.4 The Principal Determination is amended by including Clause A41 in the Additional Clauses to Table A1A as follows “A41. Gene Technology Committees: an Expert Adviser appointed to either the Gene Technology Technical Advisory Committee or the Gene Technology Ethics and Community Consultative Committee will receive $572 per day and is entitled to Tier 1 Travel.

 

1.5 Clauses 1.2 to 1.4 have effect on and from 1 January 2008.

 

1.6 Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Reserve Bank of Australia”:
