Amendment Statement of Principles
concerning
LOSS OF TEETH
No. 122 of 2007
for the purposes of the
Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986
and
Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004
2. The Repatriation Medical Authority amends, under subsection 196B(8) of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986, Statement of Principles concerning loss of teeth No. 74 of 2007 by:
(A) Replacing factors (d) and (e) in clause 6 with the following:
"(d) having a fracture of the affected tooth or luxation of the affected tooth before the clinical onset of loss of teeth; or
(e) having a fracture of the alveolar bone supporting the affected tooth or disruption of the alveolar bone supporting the affected tooth, before the clinical onset of loss of teeth; or";
(B) Inserting the following definition of "fracture of the affected tooth" in clause 9 after the definition of "disruption of the alveolar bone":
""fracture of the affected tooth" means fracture of the crown, involving the dentine, or the root of the affected tooth;".
3. The amendments made by this instrument apply to all matters to which Instrument No. 74 of 2007, section 120B of the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 and section 339 of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 apply.
4. The amendment made by this instrument takes effect from 14 November 2007.
