1 Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Defence (Personnel) Amendment Regulations 2007 (No. 2).

2 Commencement

  These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

3 Amendment of Defence (Personnel) Regulations 2002

  Schedule 1 amends the Defence (Personnel) Regulations 2002.

Schedule 1 Amendment

(regulation 3)

[1] After paragraph 64 (2) (b)

insert

 (ba) the member:

 (i) has enlisted, or has been appointed, for a period of up to 12 months in the Australian Defence Force Gap Year program; and

 (ii) has not agreed, under regulation 49 or 50, to extend the member’s period of service; or
