Broadcasting Services (Hours of Local Content) Regulations 20071

I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Broadcasting Services (Hours of Local Content) Regulations 2007.
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.
3 Definition
In these Regulations:
Act means the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.
4 Prescribed daytime hours (Act s 43C)
(1) For paragraph (a) of the definition of daytime hours in subsection 43C (8) of the Act, 5 am each day is prescribed.
(2) For paragraph (b) of the definition of daytime hours in subsection 43C (8) of the Act, 8 pm each day is prescribed.
5 Prescribed prime‑time hours (Act s 61CA)
(1) For paragraph (a) of the definition of prime‑time hours in section 61CA of the Act, 5 am each day is prescribed.
(2) For paragraph (b) of the definition of prime‑time hours in section 61CA of the Act, 8 pm each day is prescribed.
