I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under subsection 2 (1) of the Migration Legislation Amendment (Information and Other Measures) Act 2007, fix 1 May 2007 as the day on which Part 1 of Schedule 1 to that Act commences.
