Medical Indemnity (UMP support payment exemption) Regulations 20061

1 Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Medical Indemnity (UMP support payment exemption) Regulations 2006.

2 Commencement

  These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 1 May 2004.

3 Definition

  In these Regulations:

Act means the Medical Indemnity Act 2002.

4 UMP support payment exemption (persons not invoiced)

 (1) For subsection 52 (4) of the Act, a person is exempt from UMP support payment for the contribution year that started on 1 July 2003 if:

 (a) the person is a participating member of UMP; and

 (b) the person does not, by 25 September 2006, receive an invoice for UMP support payment for that contribution year.

 (2) For subsection 52 (4) of the Act, a person is exempt from UMP support payment for the contribution year starting on 1 July 2004 if:

 (a) the person is a participating member of UMP; and

 (b) the person does not, by 25 September 2006, receive an invoice for UMP support payment for that contribution year.

 (3) For subsection 52 (4) of the Act, a person is exempt from UMP support payment for the contribution year starting on 1 July 2005 if:

 (a) the person is a participating member of UMP; and

 (b) the person does not, by 25 September 2006, receive an invoice for UMP support payment for that contribution year.
