1 Name of Determination
This Determination is the Aged Care (Conditions of Allocation — Extra Service Places) Determination 2006 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
This Determination commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Definitions
In this Determination:
Act means the Aged Care Act 1997.
extra service agreement means an agreement referred to in paragraph
36-1(1)(b) of the Act.
extra service place has the meaning given by section 31-1 of the Act.
extra service status means the extra service status referred to in paragraph
31-1(a) of the Act.
4 Conditions relating to extra service places
In respect of each place that is an extra service place:
(a) the approved provider must provide a care recipient who is receiving residential care, in respect of the place, on an extra service basis with the accommodation, services and food specified in the extra service agreement; and
(b) the accommodation, services and food specified in the extra service agreement must be supplied to the care recipient to the standard specified in the extra service agreement.
5 Extent to which conditions apply
The conditions in this Determination apply:
(a) in addition to any conditions previously determined under subsection 14-6(1) of the Act and any conditions to which the grant of extra service status is subject under section 32-8 of the Act; and
(b) to allocations that occurred before or after the Determination is made.
