PRESCRIBED COURSE NOTICE

 

 

Section 289A(c) of the Migration Act 1958 (the ‘Act’) requires applicants to complete a prescribed course within the prescribed period and to have passed a prescribed exam within the prescribed period.

 

The Migration Agents Registration Authority, acting under subregulation 5(1)(a) of the Migration Agents Regulations 1998, in accordance with section 289A(c) of the Act, hereby approves the following courses as a prescribed course for the purposes of section 289A(c): Either:

 

  1. Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice at The Australian National University, Griffith University, Murdoch University and Victoria University;

 

OR

 

2.     A formal course of study or self directed study in migration law and procedure completed before 15 July 2006.

 

This notice has effect on and from 1 July 2006 until it is revoked or amended by the Migration Agents Registration Authority.
