Local Government (Transition) (Amendment) Ordinance (No. 2) 1992

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Ordinance under the Christmas Island Act 1958.

1.   Short title

1.1   This Ordinance may be cited as the Local Government (Transition) (Amendment) Ordinance  (No. 2) 19921.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Local Government (Transition) Ordinance 19922 is amended as set out in this Ordinance.

[NOTE:  This Ordinance commences on gazettal:  see Christmas Island Act 1958, s. 9]

3.   Schedule

3.1   Omit from the heading “Sections 10 and 11”, substitute “Section 10”.

3.2   Item 18.2:

Omit “42 (2) (a)”, substitute “41 (2) (a)”.

3.3   Item 19:

Before item 19.1 insert:

“19.1a Subsection 115(1):

Omit ‘eleventh day’, substitute ‘fifth day’.”.
