1 Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Crimes Amendment Regulations 2004 (No. 2).

2 Commencement

  These Regulations commence on the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Amendment of Crimes Regulations 1990

  Schedule 1 amends the Crimes Regulations 1990.

Schedule 1 Amendments

(regulation 3)

 

[1] After subregulation 8 (2)

insert

 (3) In Schedule 4, designated offence has the meaning given by section 85ZL of the Act.

[2] Schedule 4, item 1, columns 3 and 4, clauses (2) and (3)

substitute

 (2) Providing assistance to a person referred to in paragraph 85ZZH (d) of the Act in relation to the making of a decision referred to in that paragraph

An issuing body (within the meaning of subregulation 76 (1) of the Air Navigation Regulations 1947)

Assessing whether to issue a security identification card (within the meaning of subregulation 76 (1) of the Air Navigation Regulations 1947) to a person in accordance with Division 7 of Part 7 of those Regulations

Offences against Part 2 of the Crimes (Aviation) Act 1991 (except section 15)

Offences against Part 5.3 of the Criminal Code

A person who, or body which, employs or otherwise engages another person to provide services or undertake work at a place where care, instruction or supervision services for minors are provided

Assessing the suitability of a person to be employed, or otherwise engaged for financial reward, in work that is likely to involve direct contact with minors
