Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 3)1

These Regulations are the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 3).
These Regulations commence, or are taken to have commenced, as follows:
(a) on 27 August 2002 — regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;
(b) on 1 January 2003 — Schedule 2.
3 Amendment of Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001
Schedules 1 and 2 amend the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001.
Schedule 1 Amendment taken to have commenced on 27 August 2002
(regulation 3)
[1] Paragraph 3 (4) (a)
substitute
(a) the manufacturer has applied for product certification of the heat pump water heater to:
(i) Australian Standard 2712-1993, as in force on 1 January 2001; or
(ii) Australian Standard 2712-2002, as in force on 27 August 2002; and

(4) Despite paragraph (3) (b), a solar water heater of a kind mentioned in Part 2 of Schedule 7 is, on and after 1 July 2003, taken not to have been given product certification or component certification (as the case may be), if the documentation relating to the solar water heater does not state that the solar water heater satisfies the requirements for certification to the Standard mentioned in that paragraph.
