Higher Education Funding Regulations 2002
I, PETER JOHN HOLLINGWORTH, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Higher Education Funding Act 1988.

Part 1 Preliminary
1 Name of Regulations
These Regulations are the Higher Education Funding Regulations 2002.
2 Commencement
These Regulations commence on gazettal.
3 Definition
In these Regulations:
Act means the Higher Education Funding Act 1988.
Part 2 Fees
4 Application fees — Chapter 5C of the Act
For paragraph 106ZQ (2) (a) of the Act, the following fees are prescribed:
(a) for an application for approval of a person as a self‑accrediting entity in relation to an external Territory — $40 000;
(b) for an application for accreditation in relation to an external Territory of each course the person proposes to offer — $10 000.
5 Time of payment of application fee
For paragraph 106ZQ (2) (c) of the Act, a person lodging an application under subsection 106ZQ (1) of the Act must pay a fee mentioned in regulation 4 at the time the application is lodged.
