Health Insurance Commission Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Health Insurance Commission Act 1973.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 January 1998.
2.   Amendment

2.1   The Health Insurance Commission Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4A (Modification of Part V of the Act)

3.1   Paragraph 4A (a):

Omit “following sections:”, substitute “following section:”.

3.2   Paragraph 4A (b) (inserted subsection 34AA (1)):

Omit “estimates, in such form as the Minister directs, of receipts and expenditure of the Commission related to the performance”, substitute “budget estimates, in such form as the Minister directs, relating to the Commission’s performance”.

3.3   Paragraph 4A (f) (inserted subsection 36 (6AA)):

Omit all the words following “may be invested”, substitute “by the Commission in any manner specified in subsection 18 (3) of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997.”.
