Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Act 1984.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 10 July 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Judicial and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 2 (Australian Electoral Commissioner)

3.1   Omit all the words after “is to be paid,” to the end, substitute “from 10 July 1997 and while the person continues to hold that office, remuneration at the rate of $134,589 a year.”.

4.   Regulation 3 (Director of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare)

4.1   Omit all the words after “is to be paid,” to the end, substitute “from 17 October 1996 and while the person continues to hold that office, remuneration at the rate of $120,193 a year.”.

5.   Regulation 4 (Privacy Commissioner)

5.1   Omit all the words after “is to be paid,” to the end, substitute “from 10 July 1997 and while the person continues to hold that office, remuneration at the rate of $154,777 a year.”.
