Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory)

Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Regulations.

Regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is omitted and the following regulation substituted:

Prescribed qualifications—sub-section 37a (2)

“3. For the purposes of sub-section 37a (2) of the Act, the prescribed qualifications are—

(a) registration as a company auditor under the law of a State or Territory; or

(b) entitlement to registration as a company auditor under the law of a State or Territory.”.

Prescribed qualifications—sub-section 38 (1)

3. The Principal Regulations are amended by adding at the end the following regulation:

Prescribed qualifications—sub-section 38 (1)

“4. For the purposes of sub-section 38 (1), the prescribed qualifications are admission, or eligibility for admission, to—

(a) provisional or associate membership of the Australian Society of Accountants; or

(b) associateship or fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.”.
